WBN Luncheon
Event Description:
Want to boost your networking skills? Learn to golf! At the May WBN event, there will be a luncheon, a short presentation on golf and golf etiquette, and then a chance to go out on the range and get some golf instruction. ***If you have your own clubs, please bring them; if not, there will be some clubs available for you to use!*** Thank you to Susan Larsen with Wells Fargo for sponsoring this event!
About the Instructor:
Steve Marett: Born and raised in Riverton Utah, I fell in love with golf at a very young age and knew I had to turn my passion into a career. Before becoming the head golf professional at Sleepy Ridge, I worked for Salt Lake County for over a decade as a golf professional. I was stationed at each of their courses at some point in my tenure: Meadowbrook, Mountain View, Mick Riley, Riverbend, Old Mill and South Mountain. In that time I developed a strong sense of pride for serving my community and always focused on developing/growing golf programs for women and juniors at the courses I was at.
Some highlights:
· I became a member of the Professional Golf Association of America in 2014
· I graduated with a Masters in Finance from the University of Utah in 2017
· I was the head coach for Girls High School golf team at West Jordan High School 2012-2014
· I was the head coach for Boys High School golf team at Riverton High School 2014-Present
